The COVID 19 pandemic has created an unprecedented situation where the world is jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire, experiencing high mortality and the economy and tourism in doldrums. At this point, a deluge of questions come to our mind. Will the world be able to show resilience or will it have long-lasting scars? How will the healthcare system circumvent the death rate? And how will our world look like? Changes are ineluctable and we shall understand and accept that every cloud has a silver lining. The lucrative businesses will start afresh by inculcating the facility of e-commerce. Governments all around the world will stress upon improving the medical infrastructure, equipping them with impeccable technologies. The quarantine might have enervated us initially but we will soon learn to live in this new normality. In the future too, places where people interact, like offices, airports, train and bus stations, food hubs will be retrofitted to reduce physical proximity. It was also an ineffable joy to see how Mother Nature healed while we were shut indoors and further measures would be taken to reduce our carbon footprint. Lastly, globalization would be seen as a double-edged sword resulting in stricter immigration laws and immunization against particular diseases before entering a country. Hence, the post COVID world will have an epiphany of what we have lost and how much prepared we are.
